    Cheer:

    1. Download the cheer fitting form HERE.
    2. View the Vendor’s Size Chart HERE to use in the next step.
    3. Fill out the entire form, completely and indicate for each item either Y or N for purchase. (Please include sizes even for pieces you may not be ordering at this time, as they may be used sometime in the season.)
    4. Email the completed cheer fitting form to cheer@fppw.org which will be forwarded to the uniform coordinator, Kalin Boenig.

    Football:

Please send an email to football@fppw.org. Include your player’s name, age, weight, and height.

**Please note that FPPW holds two Equipment Fitting days with our vendors products to ensure a proper fit. If you were unable to attend any one of these, Four Points Pop Warner will not be responsible for Football Jersey or Cheer Uniforms not fitting correctly and any modifications required will be the responsibility of the parent.

What AGE do you have to be to cheer?

Per National Pop Warner rules, Pop Warner Spirit Teams are created based upon the child’s age as of 7/31 using the same age brackets as football.  Four Points Pop Warner Cheer and Dance teams are open to ages from 5-15!

Click HERE to see the Age ranges for each Division

Are there tryouts? Do you need previous experience?

Four Points Pop Warner Spirit offers fundamental and competition cheerleading and dance for all levels and ages. No experience required and there are NO TRYOUTS.

ALL DIVISIONS will get a chance to showcase their talents at the Central Texas Pop Warner Cheer and Dance Competition.

    Practices

Practice schedules will be set by the head coaches and will start on August 1. Pop Warner National mandates 20 practice hours for conditioning and practice before players can put on their pads, stunt, tumble or participate in a game/scrimmage.

    National Pop Warner rules require:

    • 10 hours of conditioning (No pads for football, No stunts or tumbling for cheer) followed by
    • 10 hours of player readiness (No scrimmages for football, Stunt and Tumbling progressions only for cheer)
    • MAXIMUM of 10 hours per week, 2.5 hours per day of practice prior to Labor day

prior to any athlete participating in regular practice activities.

It is VERY difficult for players missing any of these practices to “catch up” to the rest of the team in terms of development and understanding. Therefore, we ask that each player makes the effort to attend every practice in August. Otherwise, the athlete will have to spend time while the rest of the team is practicing, making up those condition hours under a Pop Warner certified coach’s supervision before being allowed to participate in the rest of the team activities.

Please plan your August travel plans accordingly!

Practice time and locations will vary depending on team assignments and field/space availability.

    Games

When the season begins, we will play our home games at Vandegrift High School, and away games on fields throughout central Texas. Game times and locations are assigned by the Hill Country Pop Warner organization. The schedule usually comes out just before the first game is to be played and may change during the season. Four Points Pop Warner has no control over the schedule – we encourage our teams to be flexible.

Regular season games are played on Saturdays with the season typically beginning the first weekend in September, Labor Day, and running through the end of October. There may be one Sunday game in order to accommodate the Central Texas Cheer Competition. Our football players are strongly encouraged to attend this event to root for their cheerleaders!

Playoffs for Junior Pee Wee and Pee Wee will begin the following week for those teams that qualify and can potentially run through the first week in December (National Championships in Orlando, FL). Competition for qualifying cheer teams continues through regional championships in November and National Championships in December.

FPPW registration fees do not cover travel costs incurred to participate at the Regional or National Championships.

    Do the cheer teams compete?

All age groups may choose to participate in the Non-Competition Division but must showcase a performance routine at the Central Texas Pop Warner Competition and Showcase held in October. Jr. Pee Wee and above may choose to participate in the Competition Division based upon team preference. Please note: It is very important to respond to the Competition Survey that you will receive following your registration. You must indicate your preference and commitment for the cheer divisions below. Your response will impact team placement so that we may have teams aligned with common post-season goals.

Fundamental/Non-Competition Division: Attend and perform at all tackle football games usually held on Saturday’s during the Season. Must commit to practices 2 days per week during the school year and a performance at the Central Texas Pop Warner Showcase and Competition.

Competition Division: Attend and perform at all tackle football games usually held on Saturday’s during the Season. This division practices 2-3 days per week during the school year. The latter part of the season will contain additional focus on preparing the team to compete at the Regional and National Pop Warner Cheer and Dance Competition. Must commit to practices 2-3 days per week and compete at all 3 levels of competition: Central Texas, Southwest Region and National Championships if the team qualifies for advancement.

    • PeeWee players that do not make weight as of certification will also receive full refund. This exception is due to the fact that PeeWee is the top player classification within FPPW.

What Age/Weight Division should I register my football player for?

While there are often players who will play up or down due to weight, experience or playing with a certain team, and given the overlapping of ages across the divisions, these are the most common divisions by grade:
    K -2nd: Tiny Mite
    3rd – 4th: Mitey Mite
    5th: Junior Pee Wee
    6th: Pee Wee
